The Role

Are you passionate about real estate? Do you thrive in fast-paced settings? If so, Fidelity Real Estate is seeking a Director of Project Delivery. This senior role is a key member of Fidelity’s Design and Delivery team, responsible for leading a multidisciplinary project team comprising of internal collaborators, external partners, designers, consultants, contractors, and various other vendors. This position requires the application of deep expertise to manage all phases of projects with varying levels of complexity, ranging from interior enhancements to critical infrastructure projects!

  • Your project management style ensures that controls are in place to lead the project budget and scope to align with Fidelity’s business objectives.
  • You proactively identify problems and implement solutions that result in projects that are completed on time and within budget, presenting risks and planning for near- and long-term solutions at every stage throughout the delivery process
  • Leads the real estate project delivery process across Fidelity Investments locations including entitlements, design and planning, budget and schedule development, permitting, construction, and commissioning. You partner closely with multiple departments, including workforce planning, space planning, leasing and transactions, facilities and operations, engineering, security, technology, and many others.
  • Prepares and delivers comprehensive presentations to senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle, encompassing design concepts, budgetary considerations, construction planning, and change management strategies.
  • Leads a team of project managers; has a proven record leading multiple, cross-functional teams across various business units.
  • Establishes successful regional partnerships with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors. Manages 3rd party project delivery resources. Responsible for tracking performance and motivating team members.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, engineering or construction, construction management, or related field is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leading the design and construction of complex projects
  • 4+ years overseeing direct reports; establishes expectations, goals, and manages performance and career growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction, including site, ground up, interiors, critically important and technology focused projects
  • Knowledge of leasing and transactions, understanding the lease negotiation process, landlord work letters, and the tenant allowance/reimbursable process.
  • Travel within the U.S.
