Director Talent Management

As a Fidelity Workplace Investing Talent Management and Leadership Development team member, you will partner with our Human Resource team to develop and execute against a talent agenda aligned with WI’s overall business strategy. This role will also partner with the Workplace Investing Leadership Development team to collaborate on efforts to enhance manager effectiveness through the connectivity of our talent practices and drive implementation of Fidelity WI and Enterprise Talent Development initiatives. This role will report into the VP Talent Management & Leadership Development and develop annual talent strategies that integrate components of talent reviews, succession planning, and the support of senior leader mobility. A successful candidate will have a background in talent management, organizational development, or human resources fields. They will demonstrate agility and resourcefulness in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment. They will apply an analytical mindset to leverage data for insights across the talent and performance cycle. With proven project management skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, they will drive cross-functional collaboration, ensure timely execution of deliverables, and maintain accountability. Their expertise in talent and performance management best practices and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement will enable them to drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
10 years of professional experience
Interpreting business strategy into talent initiatives
Operational excellence in overseeing large-scale talent initiatives with precision and risk mitigation
Talent Management experience with deep knowledge of key talent/performance practices and the ability to optimize the workforce to support business goals
Succession planning experience to identify, develop, and track future leaders
Change management experience in leading transformative work and navigating organizational change.
Experience building scalable programs that incorporate real-time data changes with measurement and evaluation
Stakeholder management, building trust with executives, HRBPs, and cross-functional leaders
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate vision and influence across levels
Ability to take initiative, resourceful, and accountable
Project management and timeline development
Data manipulation and management
Technical fluency in key HR technology platforms (i.e., Workday, Fuel50)
Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making
Flexibility in a fast-paced environment

Workplace Investing Human Resources Talent & Learning prepares the WI workforce to meet future business demands. The WI Talent Management & Development team is a team of five with a close partnership to our Leadership Development team, comprised of another five team members. Our work entails developing talent reviews, succession planning, and other talent-based projects in partnership with our HRBP.
