The Director will lead the implementation of strategies for students as they prepare to enter Community College of Philadelphia and through enrollment. - Lead the strategic program direction, design and operation of Testing Services.
- Lead the College’s initiatives, at scale, for students preparing to enter CCP;including populations preparing for the College’s placement test, and students enrolled in the Brush-Up programs geared toward Writing, Reading, Math and ESL.
- Collaborate with faculty to align placement and bridge programming with the College academic program requirements.
- Develop and coordinate outreach initiatives, in collaboration with other support services offices, for students identified at risk, to support and strengthen college completion.
- Review, assess and evaluate Testing Services programs and services; recommend and implement approved plans and policies to facilitate and improve Testing Services outcomes, operations and programs.
- Manage and supervise testing events at the College.
- Manage the administration of testing programs, such as the ACCUPLACER test, Kaplan test, CLEP, and Credit by Exam, ESL test, and ACCUPLACER High School test.
- Compile and analyze standardized test results administered through Testing Services.
- Develop and generate statistical data and reports and ensure data-centric decision making concerning testing and placement of students. Share reports with stakeholders across campus.
- Promote Testing Services to engage internal constituents.
- Provide oversight and supervision of Testing Services staff.
- Oversight of remote testing off site and remote proctoring.
- Deliver quality customer services to both internal and external constituents in a professional helpful and courteous manner.
- Assess initiatives and programs, and provide analysis of outcomes and recommendations for future projects.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration with faculty and administrators regarding students’ retention and completion.
- Prepare reports for the Associate Dean for Student Success and Engagement as required.
- Participate in the College committees related to student success and completion.
- Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with the mission, goals and core values of the College.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Any and all degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.
- Four (4) years of experience in an educational setting required.
- Experience with aligning programs and services with academic curricula in higher education is required.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centeredness required.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
- Exceptional computer skills required; experience utilizing enterprise-wide information and reporting system required.
- Possess the ability to disseminate accurate information, to give appropriate guidance, and to be knowledgeable about College and degree requirements, required.
- Demonstrated success in implementation of successful strategies for retention of students in higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, oversee and manage budgets as well as forecast future needs and expenditures required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of FERPA privacy regulations and the ability to handle confidential information required.
- Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and sound decision-making required.
- Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academicenvironment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of varying social, economic,cultural, linguistic, ideological and ethnic background required.
- Master’s in Higher Education Administration or related academic area preferred.
- Experience with Banner and ARGOS reporting preferred.
- Knowledge of SPSS or other statistical programs preferred
- Understanding and experience with educational technological retention tools, suchas Starfish Retention system, electronic degree audits, communication tools, etc.,preferred.
