Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Managing Director of Wellness, the Director of Wellness Integration advances the organization’s wellness strategy through system improvements, best-practice implementation, and innovative solutions that enhance resident well-being.
This role leads the development and integration of wellness programs, clinical standards, and compliance initiatives across senior living communities. The director partners with community teams, regional directors, and home office leaders to ensure initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver exceptional, data-informed care. Success in this position requires a passion for analyzing reports, identifying trends, and using data to drive continuous improvement.
The position will require up to one week per month of travel for trainings, community visits, vendor meetings, and conferences.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership and Program Development
- Lead the creation, testing, and implementation of wellness pilots and partnerships that align with organizational goals and resident needs.
- Represent the organization as a thought leader in wellness innovation, sharing insights and advancing the company’s reputation within the senior living industry.
- Oversee the rollout and adoption of new systems and technologies, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and evaluations to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across communities.
- Clinical Operations and Compliance
- Monitor clinical practices to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
- Oversee enhancements to enterprise-level wellness technologies, including the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medication administration record (eMAR), ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver policies, procedures, and training programs that strengthen care quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration and Integration
- Partner with community teams, Wellness Directors, Analytics, Arrow IT, and Home Office departments to integrate wellness practices and technologies into daily operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate the integration of new technologies or system installs to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing performance.
- Serve as liaison between communities, leadership, and vendors to align initiatives, ensure accountability, and support innovation.
4. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Oversee and interpret data from wellness technologies and reports to identify clinical insights, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and refine systems and assessment tools that measure outcomes, support data accuracy, and drive continuous improvement across communities.
- Translate analytics and resident feedback into actionable strategies that enhance wellness programs and resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead the design and execution of resident-focused wellness programs across all communities, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure clinical compliance with all regulatory standards, industry requirements, and best practices to maintain excellence in care delivery.
- Collaborate with Regional Directors, community leadership, and department teams to identify opportunities for improvement in wellness operations and resident outcomes.
- Develop training materials, tools, and resources that enhance the knowledge, confidence, and effectiveness of community wellness teams.
- Conduct regular assessments of community wellness programs, providing actionable feedback and measurable performance recommendations.
- Analyze data related to health outcomes, program participation, and resident satisfaction to identify trends, guide decision-making, and inform strategic planning.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of wellness initiatives through defined metrics, post-implementation reviews, and ongoing performance tracking.
- Participate in the selection, implementation, and optimization of software systems that support wellness and clinical operations, ensuring accurate reporting and system integration.
- Partner with vendors and external partners to maintain accountability, evaluate performance, and identify innovative opportunities that advance wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, and Business Analytics teams to align wellness metrics with broader organizational dashboards and performance measures.
- Develop and maintain standardized tools and assessment frameworks that promote consistent documentation, reporting, and measurable outcomes across communities.
- Communicate best practices, success stories, and lessons learned to foster collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and events to stay current on emerging trends, innovations, and clinical practices within senior living wellness.
- Provide after-hours or on-call support as needed based on community needs or wellness-related urgencies.
Requirements
- Must be based in Midwest.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in clinical operations, wellness programming, or healthcare management, preferably in senior living or a related industry.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing wellness initiatives across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to senior living and healthcare.
- Expertise in program development and clinical practice standards.
- Proficiency in healthcare software systems such as Yardi, PointClickCare, or other electronic health record (EHR) and medical record (EMAR) systems.
- Experience with configuring APIs and leveraging PowerBI preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and present findings effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in training and mentoring teams to enhance program delivery and compliance.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regular travel on behalf of the organization.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity to review detailed reports and clinical documentation.
