The conditions may involve loud noises, cuts/punctures, blood borne pathogens, risk of injury from moving/lifting. Requires manual dexterity and driving in all conditions. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and fork lift.ShiftTypical shift is Monday thru Friday day shifts (40 hrs/wk) Shifts, location, and days of week may vary depending on needs of the department.Job SummaryAssists DME staff in the transportation and distribution of supplies to home care patients. Must excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment adhering to strict deadlines. Works closely with DME staff to meet the needs of the department including, but not limited to, assisting with procurement and movement of supplies, preventative maintenance of equipment, and routine cleaning requirements. Requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively to patients and healthcare staff. Must be able to drive a University of Kentucky Motor Pool vehicle for courier services to both on-site and off-site locations. Must maintain clean driving record, valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely. Must be able to pass a thorough background check. The ideal candidate will be reliable, dependable, have the ability to prioritize and be self motivated with a positive attitude. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely and be eligible to drive a University owned motor vehicle.
