Hours, location and days of the week subject to change based on needs of dept.Job SummaryThis dual-role position combines responsibilities of a DME Customer Service Representative and a Certified Diabetic Shoe Fitter. The employee will provide exceptional customer service and clinic support while also evaluating, fitting, and modifying therapeutic footwear for diabetic patients. The role ensures proper fit, comfort, and function of footwear to prevent complications and improve patient mobility. Position is responsible for answering phone calls/faxes, emails, greeting patients, routing patient referrals to the correct individual(s) in the DME business, establishing and maintaining accurate patient records, collecting payments for products and services delivered, assisting with preparing and securing Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), and other administrative tasks as assigned. The successful person in this position will be organized, have excellent attention to detail, be able to evaluate options and make efficient decisions, and be dedicated to quality patient care.

IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered)Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have medical office or billing experience, experience with insurance verification, and/or familiarity with DME equipment and DME patient management software. Experience interpreting/processing explanation of benefits (EOB) and insurance denials, ability to resolve past due claims, and knowledge of insurance payer specific prior authorization requirements is preferred.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
