Reporting Relationships
Reports to: Dean of Early College
Supervision Exercised: Supervision may be exercised over student workers and Administrative Assistant.

Job Summary
Provide academic advising for current and prospective high school students who are taking dual credit courses, both on campus and in their high schools. Assist in the development and execution of new educational pathways in high schools. Recruit students to enroll in articulated credit courses and to transition from dual credit students to full-time RVC students upon graduation from high school. Participate in new student welcome events, career fairs, and similar programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional related duties may be assigned.
1. Provide coordination for Career Pathways Jump Start program, including student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
2. Execute, evaluate, and assess Career Pathways Jump Start program.
3. Provide coordination for Senior Semester program, including student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
4. Execute, evaluate, and assess Senior Semester program.
5. Provide advising and registration for high school students who choose to enroll as full-time or part-time on-campus dual credit students as the students complete IAI courses that encompass specific programs of study.
6. Provide advising education for high school counselors in the area of RVC degree programs and career pathways.
7. Assist with articulated credit course enrollment and development process, and promote articulated courses in high schools
8. Assist with the review of high school syllabi and course approvals for articulated credit courses.
9. Track and retain students who take articulated courses while in high school; recruit for credit-bearing programs at RVC.
10. Assist with development and oversight of Learning Management System for Early College programs (RVC Eagle – Canvas).
11. Provide programming for on-campus dual credit students to promote and support sense of belonging for high school student population.
12. Assist with the development of new summer programs and assessment of new and continuing summer programs.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
2. One year of experience with event planning preferred.
3. One year of experience in post-secondary education, recruitment, or a related field preferred.
4. Student academic advising experience preferred.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. Occasional night and weekend hours required.

Salary range
