POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining the ongoing and profitable retention of existing customers by ensuring that their needs meet expectations in an efficient and effective way. Will also coordinate closely with Xpress Purchasing Agents and other departments to identify potential opportunities for new endeavors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding efficiently, accurately and courteously to all costumer transactions through inbound calls and email correspondence.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as vendors.
  • Enter and expedite customer orders and payments, process returns and refunds when authorized and update pricing when required.
  • Answer and address customer inquiries by researching, responding, and following up in a timely manner.
  • Become a subject matter expert by maintaining current and comprehensive knowledge of products and researching, when appropriate, in order to offer solutions to customer’s inquiries.
  • Find creative solutions to resolve customer issues while following established standards operating procedures.
  • Obtain customer feedback whenever possible and present ideas to team on how to improve existing product and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit Request for Quotes (RFQ’s).
  • Aid and assist in increasing overall margins.
  • Monitor product pricing and content accuracy across channels.
  • Assist Purchasing Agents when required/requested by supervisor.
  • Provide reports for management as requested.
  • Flexibility to perform other job duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years previous customer service and account management experience required; inventory management and accounting experience helpful.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including written and oral communication abilities.
  • Must possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated as well as able to work independently with periodic consultation/direction.
  • Good aptitude for figures and detailed record keeping practices.
  • Knowledge of Zentail, 3rd Party Marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.), and Content Analytics helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to think creatively and assist with developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
