Shift

The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required as needed to perform job duties. This position will also include on-call coverage that may include weekends and holidays.

This position is hybrid.



Job Summary

The EHR Curriculum Designer will support the training and readiness activities for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) project for the University of Kentucky HealthCare enterprise. This position is responsible for leading the training activities within the assigned program area and ensuring all educational efforts align with enterprise-wide goals. The Curriculum Designer will develop curriculum and course content using adult learning principles and in accordance with the enterprise-wide training strategy. This includes creating and implementing a comprehensive training plan for the respective program area. The designer will work closely with application teams and Workflow Leads to ensure curriculum content accurately reflects system build and workflows, while integrating usability principles into the design of user interface training materials. In addition, the Curriculum Designer will manage the role analysis process, oversee the training calculator buildout, and collaborate with the technical team to develop and maintain the training environment. This role provides oversight and guidance to Credentialed Trainers within the program team and coordinates issue resolution, risk identification, and scope management through the appropriate escalation process. The Curriculum Designer will also assist with content development in collaboration with organizational readiness, activation, and testing teams and will provide support during go-live activities. Working closely with project leadership, team members, and various stakeholders, the Curriculum Designer ensures that curriculum and training efforts effectively support overall project goals and timelines for a successful implementation. Employees may work remotely but also expected to work on main campus and other locations throughout Kentucky depending on operational needs.
