Salary Range: $57,400 - $85,000 per year
Position Overview:
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance withregulations, conducting safety assessments, and facilitating training programs,among other critical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
' Ensure compliance with all applicablelocal, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations,including OSHA, EPA, and industry standards.
' Conduct regular audits, inspections,and assessments to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps. Reportfindings and recommend corrective actions to management.
' Participate in comprehensive riskassessments to evaluate workplace hazards, including physical, chemical, andbiological risks.
' Collaborate with the Environmental andSafety Manager to develop, implement, and monitor effective safety andenvironmental management strategies.
' Assist in the design and delivery ofengaging training programs on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices forall employees.
' Provide ongoing guidance and support tostaff regarding safety procedures, environmental issues, and emergency responseprotocols.
' Support the investigation of workplaceincidents, accidents, and near misses. Collect and analyze data to identifyroot causes and recommend corrective actions.
' Maintain accurate records of allincidents and ensure timely reporting to relevant regulatory bodies.
' Maintain comprehensive documentation ofsafety training, incident reports, compliance inspections, and other relevantEHS data.
' Assist in preparing detailed reportsfor management review, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, highlightingtrends and areas for improvement.
' Stay informed about industry trends,best practices, and regulatory changes to recommend enhancements to existingEHS programs and initiatives.
' Assist in the development andimplementation of emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness forenvironmental and safety incidents.
Organize and facilitate emergencydrills and training sessions to ensure staff readiness.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
' Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety,Health, and Environmental Management.
' Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with EHS DataManagement Platform
' Strong understanding of EHS management system standards, riskassessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
' Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability toengage and educate diverse audiences.
' Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization andorganizational skills.
' Ability to work independently and in a team framework.
' Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
' Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
' Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required,or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
