Position Summary Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of electrical systems for construction of light and heavy rail transit and tunnels.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist Electrical Managers/ Engineers on various project related tasks.
  • Work with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 130 and other relevant codes
  • Draft and update electrical drawings for various projects using AutoCAD
  • Contract support for systems, electrical and construction management
  • Tracking of construction progress and costs
  • Interface coordination, and subcontractor management.
  • Document development and administration of key activities, as well as participation and documentation associated with meetings, RFIs and transmittals
  • Estimate assistance on various infrastructure projects including but not limited to Light Rail Transit, Heavy Rail Transit, Tunnels, Bridges, and Piers.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Provide advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications to managerial personnel.
  • Provide field construction updates to managerial personnel.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc. Ability to relocate as needed.

Skills and Abilities

  • Candidate shall be from an accredited college or university program and have an acceptable GPA of 2.5 or above.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Fluency in English with ability to speak, read, and write.
  • Ability to work well in a non-structured environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability and behavior necessary to lead others in accomplishing individual and team goals.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Emphasis on power engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in ETAP a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 0-5 years’ experience
