About the role:

We are seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team. This role will be responsible for creating electrical drawings, including electrical schematics, and performing simple mechanical drawings using Creo or similar CAD software. Additionally, work on generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) for designs and assisting on building prototype test harnesses. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the Electrical Systems Group, Telematics Group, and Battery Solutions Group.

What you will do:

  • Develop and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software
  • Create simple mechanical drawings to support electrical designs
  • Prepare accurate and complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical and mechanical components
  • Assemble and test prototype harnesses for validation
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings and BOMs align with project requirements
  • Assist in troubleshooting and refining designs based on testing feedback
  • Maintain documentation and organize drawing files according to company standards. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines


When & Where:

  • 5-10% travel
  • The work is primarily done in an office environment with other work locations including development lab, manufacturing line, and field locations such as customer facilities. Microsoft office suite of tools. Basic electrical and mechanical tool usage.


What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
  • 0 – 2 years of experience within an electrical engineering role or an applicable internship with similar experience
  • Experience with Creo or similar CAD software for electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring harnesses
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across departments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for technical discussions and documentation


What would be nice to have:

  • Experience with prototype development and testing
  • Familiarity with telematics and battery solutions
  • Knowledge of industry standards for electrical design

The salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $85,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
