The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Perform installation, maintenance, modification, refurbishment, cleaning, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, calibration, verification, certification, checkout, and operation of various fixed or mobile systems to include, but are not limited to: mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, water, HVAC, pneumatic, and lubrication systems. Operate fixed or mobile equipment and systems used to receive, store, treat, transfer and deliver various liquids, gases and solid commodities, hazardous waste materials or other contaminated liquids.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution; at least four years of experience. Depending on the candidate’s experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
