Position Summary:
The Engineer, IT Shared Services under the general supervision of the Director of IT, serves as the Liaison for manufacturing, quality control and facilities and engineering. Serve as the subject matter expert for day-to-day monitoring and administration of Server/Patching Services. The individual will answer questions and resolve IT related issues for site and staff.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting and managing the IT shared services key assets across the Bothell site IT QC, MFG and corporate systems, as well as the point of support the system patching effort for various local IT systems. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in pharma/biotech with specific expertise in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality System disciplines. The candidate needs to have an understanding of shop floor activities, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and process automation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Possessing specialist knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications, and software
- Providing technical support to teams within the organization, and to external clients
- Assisting with systems integrations
- Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
- Identifying and resolving technical issues
- Managing coordination at a local and international level where required
- Delivering regular and customized training to teams within the business
- Preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization's systems
- Developing reports for teams across the business
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in a normal office environment (or remotely) as well as GMP laboratory or manufacturing processing facility.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a life sciences, engineering, or technology discipline,
or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of direct experience with Quality Systems (Deviations, CAPAs, Change Requests, SOPs) related activities, with a demonstrated understanding of electronic records / signatures and application of the ALCOA+ principles of data integrity
- Support ITIL process including Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Strong knowledge of global Health Authority regulations, current industry practices, and experience with application of guidelines and regulations related to control of computerized systems, electronic records and electronic signatures
- Strong knowledge of Quality Systems records documentation and metrics reporting
- Familiar with diverse computerized systems: MES, ERP, LIMS, Validation Lifecycle / Testing Software, QMS, Learning Management System
- Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within desktop applications, servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $84,000 - $102,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
