What you will do:
- Performs design and mapping related projects with the completion of alignment sheets, routing sheets, exhibits and/or permit plats and exhibit A/B drawings.
- Utility BlueSky Mapping Software, Civil 3D or GIS and incorporate client standards where applicable.
- Employ mapping development strategies that aim to outline the road map for elevating drafters through designers and beyond.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that templates, libraries and tools are developed for individual clients and in compliance with each clients standards.
- Work collaboratively with Production Manager within the Energy Utilities division to address the continuous process of mapping and survey standards.
- Work with stakeholders develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and track metrics for mapping, resource performance and alignment to budget, schedule and overall performance goals.
- Work collaboratively with Director within the Energy Utilities division to outline specific performance outcomes/goals for his or her position.
- Work collaboratively with Director/Production Manager within the Energy Utilities division to outline specific performance outcomes/goals for mapping designers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) in Civil Engineering or applicable field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in pipeline design/engineering, utility, or midstream workstreams.
- CAD Design or, alternately, significant direct professional experience in civil engineering design using CAD software.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
Software:
- Comprehensive knowledge of design platforms including, but not limited to: BlueSky Skyline/Lightning, SEED File Database, AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Bentley, ArcGIS Pro, and Trimble Business Center.
- Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).
Working Conditions/Schedule/Location:
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
- Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office, as needed, up to five days per week, as required by the project, client, or hiring manager.
- Travel or field visits may be required to support project needs or stakeholder collaboration.
- Travel may be required.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
