POSITION SUMMARY
McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Journeyman Equipment Operators for an exciting Data Center project in Port Washington, WI.We are currently hiring operators experienced with:
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Loaders
- Skid
- Fork Trucks
- Cranes
- Haul Trucks
- Rollers
The ideal applicant has 5+ years of experience as an equipment operator and maneuvers equipment in a safe manner. Compensation:IUOE Local 139 WagesPer diem for travelers of 70 miles or greater to job siteOvertime Available- Project is scheduled to work 6 days a week
RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs dailyRecognize hazards and danger zonesPlan and execute work with minimum supervisionRead and interpret blueprints Properly identify soil types Complete shallow and deep trenching excavations activities Rough and fine grading with dozer Safely Load and unload materialsDrive water truck/off road truckCompletes machine load chartsOperate long reach excavator and motor graderOperate walk behind roller compactor and plate compactorOperate small construction equipment (front loader, mixer, forklift, and skid steer)Inspect and provide basic maintenance on equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be an existing member or willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139Prior experience with self-perform earthwork operations in commercial or civil environmentsMust be able to use laser levelIdentify and use common construction materials, hand tools, and power/electrical tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, drill, Sawzall, skill-saw, vibrators, saw, demolition hammer, etc.) Understand construction terminologyProven commitment to SafetyWork in an organized mannerAble to work night shifts when neededMust have reliable transportation to/from the job siteAbility to work independently and follow instructionsMust be self-motivated and can work well with othersAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyAbilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 poundsAbility to squat, crawl, and work in confined spacesMinimum age 18+Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
