Physical RequirementsRequires handling of light-weight objects up to 10 pounds, or some standing or walking.ShiftDaysJob SummaryThe ESH Active Treatment Coordinator provides clinical and administrative oversight to unit social workers and unit treatment team. Serves as the direct supervisor for the unit social workers. Establishes and maintains a quality treatment program based upon specific clinical needs of adult psychiatric inpatients. Directs and guides staff in implementation of programs. Assists in providing direction and leadership for all disciplines working in the program and completes evaluations on employees. Assists in hiring new employees for the program. Strongly supports both performance improvement and employee engagement initiatives. Ensures adherence to hospital policies and procedures. Works with minimum supervision. Ensures that staff are trained appropriately for the jobs they are assigned to perform, providing oversight and feedback to unit social workers. Ensures that social work documentation is timely and complete. Completes social work duties when unit social workers are unavailable. Works with other ATCs to ensure department wide coverage. Coordinates clinical services both within respective unit treatment team and throughout broader social work department. Works as a liaison with other hospital departments to problem solve patient needs and barriers to discharge. Actively participates on assigned committees and teams. Provides direct patient care as needed and works to include families and significant others in patient treatment plans. Includes recommendations from outpatient providers and other natural/social community supports in the treatment plan when appropriate. Serves as a liaison with patient families and outside community partners. Helps facilitate student practicum placements. Provides clinical supervision, if applicable.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities? YesPreferred Education/ExperienceMaster of Science in Social Work (MSSW). Three years experience is required. Certified Social Worker (CSW) required.
