Our Executive Workforce consultants provide comprehensive advisory services spanning executive compensation, governance, and leadership strategy. We help organizations define and implement effective executive compensation programs that align with market benchmarks, organizational strategies, and regulatory requirements. Our expertise includes governance support for boards and committees, performance evaluations for executives, and design of competitive total compensation . We also advise on executive benefits, pay-for-performance strategies, . Additionally, we provide insights on emerging trends, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and employment agreements to ensure a holistic and compliant approach to executive talent management.

As a Consulting Principal, you will establish and lead multiple executive compensation consulting projects, contributing to all aspects of client engagements, building and nurturing client relationships and providing responsive, thoughtful high-quality client experiences. In addition, you will mentor and develop staff to build technical expertise, strengthen client delivery skills and prepare them for increasing levels of responsibility.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Set or assist in setting strategic direction for large, complex client engagements and serve as one of the senior executive compensation advisor to executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Own client relationships, including long-term strategy, revenue growth, retention and expansion of services across the portfolio.
  • Provide thought leadership on executive compensation design and governance, advising clients on market positioning, incentive strategy, regulatory considerations and workforce implications.
  • Oversee and quality-assure complex analyses and recommendations, ensuring strategic alignment, defensibility and executive-level clarity.
  • Drive revenue generation, including originating new opportunities, leading proposal development, structuring scope and pricing and participating in closing engagements.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering engagement, accountability and a culture of excellence across projects and the broader practice.
  • Guide the allocation of resources across engagements, balancing profitability, client experience and team development.
  • Represent the firm as part of the client team in business development and market-facing activities and prospect meetings.
  • Lead strategic practice initiatives that enhance methodologies, tools, brand presence and overall client services.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, contributing to innovation in executive compensation strategy and healthcare industry insights.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

We find people who generally fit this profile have a high degree of success in this role:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Twelve years or more of executive compensation consulting experience.
  • Proficient skills in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Foster an open and effective channel of communication with clients and across teams and provide constructive feedback that helps associates develop skills, experience, and growth opportunities.
  • Effectively present facts, analysis, and conclusions/solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content, factors in perspectives, and interests of the audience. Ability to translate complex, technical concepts into easy to understand language
  • Write concise project communications, documents, and presentations with an appropriate level of technical detail and complexity.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and priority-changing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote or hybrid work settings. Occasional travel required. Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $189,800.00 - $284,700.00 annually
