Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Facilities Financial & Business Services, this position assesses and improves ongoing operations as well as achieves exceptional business and financial strategies for Facilities Management; Identifies, selects, and adapts business models in support of the University’s strategic objectives; Identifies and implements cost-effective changes to existing systems and processes, as well as collaborates with stakeholders and other groups to deliver solutions; Creates, implements, and manages strategic roadmaps for authorized Facilities Management Business Operations; Utilizes best practices and critical and analytical thinking skills to evaluate opportunities, solutions, and modifications for business processes, supply chain, and work management; Analyzes technology and information to improve both existing and emerging business processes and business models ; and identifies the analytical steps required to implement and manage change in a practical and achievable manner.
In addition, the Strategy Officer provides critical assistance in finding root causes of business challenges, identifying business opportunities, and making recommendations on how to achieve business goals and stay competitive; Prioritizes requirements and creates conceptual prototypes and mock-ups; Masters strategic business process modeling, traceability, and quality management techniques; Implements advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data requirements, documents, and validates information; Approaches business problems strategically using advanced tools such as Lean and Six Sigma; Identifies, analyzes, and designs processes to help improve the overall flow of information within Facilities Management; Improves business processes and operations by ensuring continuity, data integrity, and integration of policies and procedures; Verifies solutions meet business needs.

Fundamental Principles of Financial Management; Demonstrated ability to advance strategic financial forecasts, with related tools and metrics, for a multi-departmental facilities, capital project management group, and healthcare organization which also provides utilities and energy management to an educational enterprise.
