Summer Temporary Employee (FOA1 Grade 6)

Facilities Services is seeking Summer Temporary Employees to assist with painting during the summer months.

Employees assigned to the painting crew will assist with the preparation and painting of residence hall rooms and common areas. Duties include sanding, mudding, patching drywall, surface preparation, painting, moving and covering furniture, and general cleanup to prepare dormitories for student occupancy.

This position requires the ability to perform physical labor, work effectively in a team setting, follow instructions, and safely operate basic hand tools. Candidates must be able to lift and move furniture and equipment, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions as needed.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Labor Class: There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.



Additional Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $17.37
