Position Summary (Primary Function)
Responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities for the Facilities team, including preventive maintenance (PM), inspections, and Facilities team projects. Develops and implements preventive maintenance plans for new and existing assets and ensures their integration into the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. Adds and maintains new assets within the District’s EAM hierarchy to support accurate tracking and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Individual will participate in safety programs and safety training and have total commitment and compliance with all District safety and environmental policies.
- Participates in the development of Facilities Department strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
- Become highly proficient in HxGN Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the system within the team.
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly work assignments while ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
- Work with the Technical Services Supervisor to optimize the use of manpower and resources in developing efficient daily and weekly work schedules for Technical Services team members, including Electricians, Electromechanical Technicians, HVAC Technicians, and Building Services Technicians.
- Review and confirm backlog work order status with the Technical Services Supervisor, balance new work orders with backlog work orders to generate an effective daily and weekly work schedule.
- Develop preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, checklists, and schedules for new assets to ensure proper upkeep and reliable performance.
- Maintain and update the asset hierarchy in the HxGN EAM system for new and existing facilities and MEP systems, including asset information, O&M manuals, and relevant images.
- Collaborate with the Technical Services Manager and Asset Management team to develop and maintain the District’s HxGN EAM hierarchy. The HxGN asset hierarchy shall be maintained to reflect changes resulting from decommissioning, replacement, and commissioning new assets.
- Transfer existing asset information from MP2 (the District’s legacy CMMS) to HxGN EAM and create preventive maintenance (PM) checklists.
- Schedule and coordinate all inspections and maintenance activities for the District’s Fire Alarm and Water-Based Fire Protection Systems.
- Manage and coordinate all utility locate requests for District-owned utilities.
- Support ongoing HxGN EAM system training for Facilities personnel.
- Participate in airfield snow and ice removal activities.
- Responsible for performing assigned monthly department safety meetings, weekly “Tool Box” safety meetings and EAM training meetings with Facilities personnel.
- Shall perform other duties necessary to keep the Airport operating safely and efficiently.

Education Requirements (Evaluation Factor: Skills, Education, Experience, Ability)
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Secondary education (Associate degree, military, or job training) in Industrial Electricity/Maintenance Technology preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Six (6) or more years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must demonstrate the desire and willingness to continue training on the knowledge needed to stay abreast of changing technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient in standard maintenance procedures and methods.
- Must have strong, comprehensive knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Must be knowledgeable in the operations of various types of meters and measuring devices.
- Must be familiar with the National Electrical Code and its application.
- The person must have the ability to read, understand, and be capable of applying knowledge of written information, electrical wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, electrical & mechanical, etc.
- Must be able to clearly understand information and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be capable of planning and organizing multiple tasks so that assignments can be accomplished within a reasonable time.
- Must be capable of reasoning through problems involving simple and complex equipment.
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the installation and repair of such components as motors, power distribution systems, lighting systems, low voltage systems, conveyors, water features, etc.
- Knowledge of CMMS and EAM systems, including the implementation and management of equipment hierarchies.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer is necessary, including skills in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Airport tenants, federal and state agencies, fellow employees, subordinates, and supervisors.
- This position requires skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations, and the ability to manage projects.

- Diligence must be exercised when handling confidential information.
- Reasonable care for equipment/process will prevent injury/damage.
- Responsible for own work but must coordinate work with others.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demand - Must be physically able to use the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment – Provided by the airport) required of the job. Worker will be exposed to heat, cold, rain, snow, and icy conditions. Noise levels may exceed 55 db. Works near moving vehicles and equipment, risk of being struck. Works near mechanical and electrical equipment with risk of electrical shock. Exposure to flammable, toxic and caustic chemicals. Exposure to heights and will be required to work from ladders and lifts. Must possess the ability to perform strenuous physical activities, engage in sustained physical exertion, and perform arduous work under adverse conditions. Must maintain physical fitness pertinent to the work. Frequent bending and stooping. Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance. Mental and/or Visual Demand - Mental and visual demands are high and vary with function performed. Consistent mental attention is needed to respond safely and efficiently. Frequent work or travel in or near roadways, parking areas, and aircraft ramp areas require constant vigilance of vehicular, aircraft and equipment traffic.
- Attentiveness to work procedure will reduce potential risk of injury in work areas.
- Exposed to normal office/aviation/industrial environment.
- This position may require irregular work hours to include but not limited to weekends and holidays, rotating shift assignments.
- Subject to recall after normal duty hours.
