Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors requiring evening(s), weekend(s), and/or holiday(s) response.Job SummaryReporting to the Associate Director, Campus Maintenance and Operations, the Facilities Preventative Maintenance Manager:
- Leads in planning and implementing effective and efficient preventative maintenance for UK Campus buildings, facilities, systems, and equipment
- Provides work management and administrative direction for scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Communicates and meets routinely with Facilities Management – Campus Maintenance Managers to define and prioritize needs
- Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to be measured to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded in accordance with established procedures and processes
- Oversees and manages preventative maintenance schedules, frequencies, and equipment types as well as the activation and deactivation of equipment
- Utilizing established systems (SAP PM), ensures preventative maintenance tasks, schedules, and completions are monitored for compliance with requirements and communicated directly with staff members
- Collaborates with Preventative Maintenance Technicians to generate and update daily work orders in SAP, ensuring accurate and complete information
- Closes daily work orders by documenting accurate information of work performed, time to perform, parts used, and equipment work was performed on, etc.
- Analyzes information, uses logic, and develops new ideas and answers to address work-related issues and/or problems
- Adheres to established University procedures and policies, and stays current on changing policies and procedures
In addition, this position:
- Directly supervises assigned preventative maintenance staff
- Proactively and regularly initiates contact with customers and clients
- Ensures the highest quality standards are implemented and maintained
- Complies with all local, state, and federal regulations
