Position Summary, Facility Inventory Technician-Support Staff II
The Facility Inventory Technician will work to ensure that inventory levels of stock items needed by Facility Operations Group (FOG) are kept at accurate and dependable levels, deliveries are promptly stocked and binned, and that low and out of stock items are decisively procured. Assists in the processing of Preqs for non-stock items and services needed on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock inventory levels for the Facilities Operations Group.
- Assist in maintaining CMMS database information. Assist in creating PReq's for the purchase of equipment, materials, services and supplies.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining service contracts and purchase orders for routine, essential and critical systems.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining service contracts and purchase orders.
- Assist in managing stock locations.
- Assist in training staff on use of our inventory system. Engage with FOG and FEG members to understand current and future needs. Continual training and assistance to members of FOG regarding CMMS, and use of Monday.com.
- Resolve stock issues and discrepancies including out-of-stock and low quantity stock items.
- Process and stock deliveries in a timely manner, while maintaining organized stock areas.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications, Facility Inventory Technician- Support Staff II
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory control of a large educational, medical, or production facility.
- The ability to work from heights using ladders, the use of PPE; lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
- Operation of material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Inventory management programs/ CMMS. Ability to work within a diverse work culture.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, highly technical environment, and communicate effectively.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check It may also require annual background checks.
Preferred Qualifications, Facility Inventory Technician- Support Staff II
An associate's degree in business administration, Engineering or a related field from a college or University accredited by the USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, and 5+ years' experience in inventory control of a large educational, medical or production facility.
