Job Summary
The Facility Sanitation role is required to perform tasks involved in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and healthy for all employees. Must follow Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality and Production in an efficient and safe manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure that all surfaces are properly sanitized
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintains good housekeeping and always assures a neat and organized work area.
- Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers and leadership chain about any safety issues, housekeeping issues, quality issues and production issues.
- Follow plant specified job training guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement/Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 – 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Previous experience in facility sanitation or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Manufacturing experience preferred.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 50 lbs. The employee is routinely required to reach with hands and arms, both above and below shoulder level. Must be able to work in, with, and near machinery. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety glasses and steel/composite toe shoes, and gloves. Hearing protection and PPE is based on job assignment, task, or work area. Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform duties.
