Federal Work Study – Facilities & Custodial Support Assistant

Position Title: Student Help

Location: Elizabethton Main Campus

Department: Facilities/Maintenance

Job Summary: The Facilities & Custodial Support Assistant will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning campus environment. This Federal Work Study position offers hands-on experience in custodial operations, facilities support, and campus logistics while working with our dedicated facilities team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
  • Ability to lift and move supplies or equipment as needed
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

GENERAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with general cleaning tasks across campuses
  • Organize custodial and maintenance supplies
  • Support campus logistics, including inter-campus deliveries
  • Help with event setup, breakdown, and Friday project work
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a tidy workspace

WORKING SCHEDULE:

  • Monday–Thursday, approximately 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Fridays when full-time staff are present (schedule coordinated in advance)

SALARY RANGE:

  • Hourly rate based on current Federal Work Study guidelines, $12
