Job Description

Pay Rate: $20.00 to a maximum of $25.00 Per Hour.

Position Purpose:

Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern. While we may extend offers to some interns, there is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the internship.

The Senior IT Finance Intern will support the optimization and automation of finance workflows, ensuring accuracy in PO-to-invoice matching and cost allocation. Working across SAP and PeopleSoft, the intern will help streamline processes and improve data consistency across labor and non-labor expenses.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and optimize existing finance workflows, focusing on process efficiency and automation.
  • Ensure accurate matching between Purchase Orders (POs) and invoices, both in amounts and details.
  • Work with two financial systems: SAP and PeopleSoft, understanding and adapting to the specific constraints of each tool.
  • Contribute to the automation of key finance processes to reduce manual intervention and errors.
  • Support the correct allocation and reconciliation of both labor and non-labor costs.
  • Ensure that all expenses and transactions are correctly assigned to the appropriate cost centers.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps and proposing practical improvements based on system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end process consistency.
  • Produce documentation and training materials for optimized workflows or automation solutions implemented.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of newly implemented solutions.


Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:
  • Finance Bachelor Degree.
  • Interest in ecologic, environment, sustainability.
  • Previous experience in automating processes and dealing with business users.
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Mapping of current processes.
  • Ability to collect requirements and talk to IT Solution delivery team.
  • Ability to develop use cases and testing phase.
  • Data-driven
  • Data Analytics is a plus.
  • Project Management
  • Financial Management
  • Ability to synthesize.
  • Process automation
