The Role
If you take pride in detailed work and enjoy seeing immediate results, this role is a great fit. As a Floorcare Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and restoring floor surfaces throughout a high-security aerospace site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll stay active, use specialized equipment, and play a key part in keeping the facility looking its best.
Location: Woodland Hills, CA
Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Every other Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
Days: Monday – Friday
Pay: $21.50 per hour
Site Requirement: All employees must be U.S. Citizens and must successfully complete and clear a background check for employment and site badging.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard floor surfaces.
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, burnishers, and vacuums.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain hard floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Identify and address floor maintenance needs to maintain appearance and safety standards.
- Follow proper procedures for chemical use, dilution, and equipment handling.
- Maintain and clean floor care equipment after use.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets site procedures and Servicon quality standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and participate in required training; perform additional duties as assigned.
What It Takes To Be Successful
- 1+ yr. floor technician experience is preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Extensive floor care product knowledge
- Working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces (marble, granite, VCT, etc.)
- Working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures (shampooing, extracting, bonneting)
- Ability to perform window cleaning and power washing duties
- Proficient verbal / written communication skills (Spanish a plus)
- Planning / scheduling, problem solving
- Time management skills
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow-up
