This position is responsible for the lawn care and grounds maintenance, as well as making repairs to irrigation systems, equipment, and keeping the overall conditions of the grounds looking its best.

What you'll do as a Gardener II:
- Mow and trim the lawns at least once a week and at times twice a week; mowing must be done quickly and neatly leaving the lawns looking professional.
- Edge and make sure the flower beds are taken care of as needed or as directed by the crew leader.
- Trim trees as directed by crew leader.
- Make irrigation repairs as needed and could be primarily in the summer months or could be throughout the year.
- Maintain lawn equipment. It is everyone's responsibility in the Grounds Department and should be taken seriously; do not want dangerous or malfunctioning equipment to be used.
- Handle additional jobs related to grounds care and to help other departments as required.
Qualifications you'll bring as a Gardener II:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have 1 year of grounds maintenance experience.
- Possess experience in operating motorized equipment.
- Be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Understand the use of motorized equipment, power tools, and manual tools.
- Have respect for others and ability to work as a team to achieve results.
- Represent McLane's beliefs and values.
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
