Responsibilities
Join one of SAM’s most impactful geospatial teams, where your leadership and technical expertise will help deliver some of the nation’s most complex transportation projects. From major highway corridors to federally funded DOT initiatives nationwide, your work will directly support infrastructure relied on by millions every day.
As a Project Manager, you’ll serve as a leader within our transportation group, overseeing all phases of aerial and terrestrial mobile LiDAR and photogrammetric projects from proposal planning and estimation through final delivery. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of experienced technicians, setting workflows, defining expectations of project outcomes, tracking metrics, and communicating with clients while maintaining high level of quality standards, and mentoring the next generation of geospatial leaders. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a seasoned geospatial professional who enjoys balancing leadership with hands-on involvement and business development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Photogrammetry and Aerial/Mobile LiDAR
- Proven experience supporting Department of Transportation (DOT) projects
- Strong professional ethic holding principles and values, beyond just legal requirements, ensuring integrity and serving as a trusted advisor to our clients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Ability to meet fixed deadlines and work as a team member
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- A portfolio of past relationships with AEC firms and DOT agencies is preferred
- Proficiency with Microstation, Terrasolid, and TopoDOT is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Geography, Photogrammetry, or related curriculum from an accredited college preferred
