Are you an experienced software engineer who thrives on building systems that directly power business outcomes? We're looking for a Software Engineer II to help design, develop, and support our GEP procurement platform and connected systems, playing a critical role in how our organization operates and scales.
In this role, you'll work hands-on with modern technologies to build secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions used across the enterprise. You won't just write code-you'll help shape engineering best practices, influence design decisions, and take ownership of production systems that matter.
This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software supporting GEP and related procurement platforms
- Improve reliability, performance, and security of business-critical applications
- Provide technical leadership within your product area, including influencing architecture and engineering standards
- Collaborate closely with product, business, and technology partners to deliver solutions that scale
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement system administration and software development (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to support and enhance enterprise platforms in production environments
- A mindset of ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
