Summary/Objective:
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is seeking an organized, enthusiastic intern to assist the Curatorial team. This story will be shared through a wide range of costumes, props, set pieces, posters, scripts, personal artifacts, media installations, immersive experiences, as well as an accompanying publication.

Under the guidance of an experienced curatorial staff, the intern will gain in-depth experience in preparation and planning for an exhibition and publication that explores a lesser-known film history for a wide audience.

The ideal candidate will be a rigorous researcher and strong organizer, able to create bibliographies and filmographies, organize image files, and draft and edit photo captions and research summaries. Candidates should possess a keen interest in curating, film, writing, and research, as well as a curiosity for underrepresented voices and themes in domestic and international cinema history. Undergraduate students studying film studies, Chicano or Latin American studies, ethnic studies, history, museum studies, curatorial studies, or related fields are especially encouraged to apply.
