About Global Real Estate & Workplace Experience (GREWE)
Global Real Estate and Workplace Experience (GREWE) is a global team at American Express (Amex) responsible for the full lifecycle of planning, execution, and operations of Amex real estate. GREWE supports over 75,000 Amex colleagues and contractors in over eight million square feet of property located in 59 countries. Our real estate portfolio consists of large full-service campuses, office buildings, sales offices, airport lounges and data centers. The global GREWE team is comprised of ~100 Amex full time staff that leverage ~5,000 contractors and is part of the broader Global Servicing Group organization which delivers shared business services to colleagues across the enterprise. Global Leadership and Governance Responsibilities

This position will support the delivery of a large, complex, and multi-stakeholder program by managing day-to-day execution, coordinating across workstreams, and ensuring alignment with program goals. The Program Manager will focus on planning, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and driving effective communication across teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to deliver outcomes in a structured program environment. The Program Manager will work closely with the PMO Lead and functional teams to ensure milestones are achieved and program health is maintained.
Executive Engagements
This role will have regular interaction with Program Sponsors and Workstream Leads. The Program Manager will be expected to provide concise updates, prepare executive-ready materials, and ensure transparency in reporting. While not a primary lead for executive forums, the Program Manager will frequently support preparation for steering committees, dashboards, and leadership reviews.
Other key deliverables include:
- Support in the creation of a governance framework and program playbook, including but not limited to meeting and calendar governance, meeting materials and documentation, RACI and ways of working framework.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and logs for audits and reviews.
- Source and validate data from workstream leads, finance, procurement and technical teams to ensure accuracy.
- Track cross-program dependencies and support resolution/escalation processes.
- Lead continuous improvement of PMO processes and automation opportunities.
- Act as a center of excellence for project governance methodologies
- Maintain program dashboards, KPIs, and status trend reports in alignment with PMO standards.
- Ensure consistent usage of PMO playbook, templates, and onboarding materials.
- Support development of stakeholder maps and communications strategy.
- Maintain centralized document control and ensure program documentation is audit ready.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 4–7 years of project or program management experience in large-scale initiatives.
- Familiarity with program governance frameworks and PMO operations.
- Experience in real estate, financial services, technology, or similarly complex environments preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
