FM Talent Source is currently seeking two (2) Grants Support Specialist provides advice on the end-to-end administration of federal grant programs. The Specialist will support the government in preparing, reviewing, and processing awards, amendments, and closeouts in compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures. This position is responsible for developing business process improvement plans that help with the coordination of program staff and grantees to ensure timely submission and tracking of required documentation. The improvement plans will also help the government to maintain organized and audit-ready grant files for response to routine inquiries regarding grants processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, review, and processing of federal grant awards, amendments, and closeouts.
- Ensure all grant documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with federal regulations.
- Coordinate with program staff to facilitate timely submission of required grant documentation.
- Develop and implement business process improvement plans to enhance grant tracking, communication, and file management.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready grant files and records.
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding grant processes, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Support reporting and data collection efforts related to grant performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure grant-related timelines and deliverables are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Previous experience in grant writing, research, nonprofit management, or a related field is typically required.
- Soft skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills are essential for success. Experience developing and implementing process improvement strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in grant management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
The salary range listed represents the full range for this position. Candidates should not expect to be offered at or near the top of the range unless they bring highly specialized experience that exceeds the core requirements of the role. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, market value, internal equity, and budget considerations.
