Graphic Designer: Scope of work

I.Role Overview & Scope
a. Job title, reference number, and purpose
- Graphic Designer | The purpose of this role is to assist the Art Director and Digital team with the overflow of creative cases, especially during the busy giving season.
b. Key stakeholders
- The creative services team and other teams, as determined by the project, will be involved.
c. Detailed deliverables description
- Provide assistance in the creation of various visual content, including one-pagers, social media graphics, website deliverables, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and light video editing, for different projects.
II.Timeline & Deliverable Specifications
a. Start/end dates and key milestones
- From June 2025 until end of December 2025 (TBD on end date). The graphic designer will work as needed during this time on a part-time bases up to 25 hours per week.
b. Project cycle
- The art director will send the graphic designer a design brief for each project which will include the project specs, client description, deadline and save folder link.
- The designer will submit proofs through PageProof for the art director, creative team and client for review before turning over the final product.
- All final designs will need to be packaged, including fonts and image links used in the design, and saved to the appropriate folder in One Drive.
c. Technical requirements
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office required. Experience with Premiere Pro, Canva, and Monday.com highly valued.

III.Brand Compliance & Quality Standards
a. Plan International's brand guidelines and required elements
- The brand guidebook and access to assets will be provided.
b. Campaign-specific visual identity requirements
- Requirements for special campaigns will be listed in the design brief.
c. Child safeguarding and ethical imagery requirements
- The contracted designer will need to complete safeguarding training and comply with Plan’s ethical policies.
d. Quality expectations and acceptance criteria
- Candidates must submit a resume and link to a portfolio of relevant work in order to be considered.
IV.Roles & Responsibilities
a. Designer duties (research, concept presentation, feedback incorporation)
- The graphic designer will support Plan’s Creative Services team with a variety of projects to visually bring Plan’s brand to life to a number of audiences, including individual and institutional donors and young people. This involves developing a series of different print collateral, website content, social media graphics and video editing to persuade audiences to either donate or continue engaging with Plan.
b. Communication protocols and points of contact
- The graphic designer will report to the Art Director
c. File organization and source file transfer
- All files must be stored in the provided OneDrive folder. Assets can be sourced through Plan’s DAM, Media Bank and Adobe stock.
d. Payment
- Each project is paid monthly at a rate of $45 per hour.
