Performs field and limited sustainment level maintenance in accordance with AR 750-1 and ASC Supplement to AR 750-1 for LRC and IMCOM authorized base operations support equipment. Support may include outlying activities. All maintenance activities will be conducted in accordance with The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) as outlined in DA PAM 750-8, DA PAM 750-1, AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-2, applicable LIS publications, other Governmental regulations and directives as applicable, installation policies and procedures. Provides monthly maintenance reports to support Contract Deliverables. All work performed to standards listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

  • Perform maintenance and services of small arms.
  • Manage small arms repair parts in accordance with the Small Arms Repair Parts (SARP) regulatory guidance.
  • Provide verbal and/or written readiness status on reportable equipment
  • Perform required technical inspections and input all required data in the applicable LIS.
  • Test, inspect, repair, service, maintain, transport, and process/de-process commercial or tactical equipment.
  • Schedule and perform PMCS; provide monthly listing of scheduled PMCS. Schedule services, contact POCs when services are due.
  • Assure calibration of all designated TMDE is scheduled and performed
  • Provide support for demilitarization or disposal of all unserviceable parts and equipment
  • Use Army approved LIS system to manage maintenance services, repairs, and reporting.
Requirements:

The Gunsmith II must have a minimal of 5 years of hands-on experience.Must possess a valid drivers license.The employee chooses, interprets and adapts available guidelines (that often contain conflicting or ambiguous instructions) to specific assignments, and recommends changes to those policies.Candidate must be able to perform all the tasks not exclusive of those described in the job description section.Must be U.S. citizen and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently and have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both orally and in writing.Must be proficient in the use of computers and MS Office Software.Must be able to obtain a CAC and work the assigned shift hours.This job description is meant to be a guide.It is not intended to limit in any way the duties an employee may be required to perform.This job description may be updated at the discretion of the company.
