High Net Worth Bond Desk Consultant
Role Overview
You will join a dynamic team of 14 High Net Worth (HNW) Bond Desk Consultants who provide fixed income guidance and advice to individual investors with $3 million or more in bond assets held at Fidelity. The team manages a substantial book of business encompassing more than 8,200 HNW households, representing over $98.3 billion in total client assets and $32.48 billion in individual fixed income securities.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
Minimum of seven years of fixed income sales and client-facing experience preferred
Strong understanding of the new issue municipal market and the underwriting process
Experience using Bloomberg
Preferred qualifications include experience with FocusPoint/Genesys, and Salesforce
Passion for relationship building and partnering
The Purpose of Your Role
As a HNW Bond Desk Consultant, you will support Fidelity’s most affluent fixed-income clients as part of a 15-person consultant team. Initially, you will serve as a backup consultant across three regional coverage models: West/Central, Southeast/Central, and Northeast.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing backup coverage for inbound client calls during consultant unavailability
Conducting outbound client outreach related to new issue municipal offerings & bond maturities
Preparing bond proposals and fixed income analytical reports
In addition to building high touch, trusted client relationships, you will collaborate closely with internal partners, including Vice President Financial Consultants (VPFCs), Regional Brokerage Consultants (RBCs), Executive Services (ES), and Relationship Managers (RMs) and Advisors within the Private Wealth Management (PWM) group.

In-depth knowledge of the fixed income markets with the ability to communicate concepts clearly to both sophisticated and novice investors
Professional composure and patience when navigating challenging client or trader interactions
Provide accurate, reliable trade execution that underpins strong client relationships and retention.

Providing a warm, professional, and approachable client experience that establishes a primary fixed income relationship
Making outbound calls to discuss new issue municipals, relevant secondary market opportunities, and upcoming bond maturities
Designing and delivering bond ladders and customized fixed income solutions aligned to client goals
Producing and reviewing fixed income analytical reports during scheduled client appointments
Onboard new clients, develop strong relationships, and retain a dedicated client base.
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
You will serve as a critical point of connection for VPFCs, PWM Advisors & RMs, and Executive Services teams. Investor Centers, Private Wealth Management, and Executive Services partners rely on the Bond Desk to deliver industry-leading client experiences and personalized guidance for individual fixed income securities.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$222,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
