HR Coordinator (Contract, Temporary)Campus Title: HR Coordinator (Contract, Temporary)Department: Human ResourcesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob Type: Part-time, Temporary (Non-benefited)Timeframe: Oct 1, 2025- December 15, 2025Shift: Monday-Wednesday 6 hours per day / actual hours each day to be a flex start time (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch)Regular Days Off: Thursday-SundaySupervision Received: Reports to the Director of Human ResourcesSupervision Exercised: NoneSalary: $20.00 per hourGeneral Statement of Duties:We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized HR Coordinator to join our team on a temporary contract. This role supports daily HR operations and plays a key part in keeping things running smoothly.Duties and Responsibilities:Duties include but not limited to:Essential:• Answer incoming HR-related phone calls and direct inquiries as needed• Monitor and respond to HR emails in a timely and professional manner• Employee Transcript Monitoring• Employee Registrar Reporting• Create and maintain accurate and confidential personnel files• Oversee and update the HR calendar, including tracking key dates and events• Provide support in the hiring process, including interview coordination and candidate communication• Assist with onboarding new hires, including but not limited to preparing materials and delivering presentations• Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the HR teamJob Requirements:Required Qualifications:• Prior experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized• Comfortable working with confidential information• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasksAdditional Information:Disability AccommodationsWestfield State University is committed to the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities and will ensure the availability of reasonable accommodations.
