As a Human Resources Manager you will oversee many areas of HR – recruitment, training, compliance, leaves of absence, and other projects as assigned, and support the organization’s purpose and promises.

This role leads a team of professional and/or support associates, sets operational objectives, and delivers results that directly impact departmental performance.



Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports within the Human Resources function.
  • Foster a high-performance, engaged HR team aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for all levels of employees and temporary associates.
  • Serve as primary liaison for contingent workforce vendors.
  • Ensure effective onboarding processes, including new hire orientation.
  • Act as a trusted partner to management and employees by addressing concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Conduct employee investigations and provide recommendations aligned with company policy.
  • Support and guide performance management processes, including goal setting, development planning, and performance reviews.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain records, reports, and logs to ensure compliance with EEO and Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Coordinate leave of absence administration and unemployment claims in partnership with US HQ HR & third-party vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with required labor postings and regulatory updates.
  • Lead HR-related audits, including SMETA, SQF, and applicable state audits.
  • Deliver and oversee compliance training programs, including harassment prevention.
  • Support organizational development and employee training initiatives.
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics and reports to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Monitor KPIs and leverage site analytics to influence continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and professional communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain structured, thoughtful, and effective communication, particularly in sensitive labor relations matters.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complex HR situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications



Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

  • 5 - 7+ years progressive human resources experience including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and policy development
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Demonstrates good judgment, integrity & respect, innovation, and optimism
  • Handle information with the utmost confidentiality

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Occasional travel may be required
