Under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Support Temp will ensure all restaurant Team Member communication is clear, proactive and that all employees have an avenue for expressing questions or concerns. This position requires strong communication, organization, decision making, and the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with Team Members to promote the Cooper’s Hawk brand and engagement. What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a support to Regional Human Resources partners as follows:
- Monitor and manage HR Team Member Support Line voicemails, Ethics Point, and completes intake calls with Team Members and managers.
- Conduct structured, objective intake conversations by asking open, fair questions to fully understand each situation and determine the best way to assist.
- Compile and deliver organized, concise intake-call summaries to the HR Manager and Area Director, highlighting key themes, insights, and action items
- Answer general policy/administration questions and coordinate cross-functional with supporting departments as needed.
- HR Case Notes Management:
- Maintain and update confidential HR case notes, accurately reflecting employee relations issues, performance concerns, and other sensitive matters.
- Track and report employee relation issues accurately and timely
- Follow current Employee Relations SOPs and processes to ensure consistency
- Administers Exit Interview Survey for all departing restaurant operation managers, including providing them the End of Employment FAQs and tracking completion of the survey
- Responsible for gathering information, preparing firsthand witness, and attending Unemployment phone hearings as the company representative.
- Assist with critical annual projects including Community Survey, Handbook, Respect Training, and any Talent and Performance Management initiatives
- Ensures supporting documents are up to date (SOPs, job aids, rollout guides) for HR related initiatives
- Identify people trends and opportunities to support continued business growth and ensure Cooper’s Hawk values are being upheld.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in restaurant/retail environment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Strong organizational skills and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess a situation and determine the best course of action and work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
- Facilitates collaboration between multiple cross functional teams. Strong analytical skills to interpret reports providing recommendations.

Compensation: $35/hour
