Job Summary
Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking an HVAC Instructor to teach at our Hager Hill Campus.
Job Duties:
   Effectively teach HVAC courses. 
• Create and actively engage all areas of the HVAC program’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and  apprenticeship relationships within the community.
• Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of HVAC offerings.
• Assist in Developing a strategic plan for improving the HVAC program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to     draw students into the program.
• Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising.
• Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional   techniques.
• Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Journeyman HVAC license
• Minimum of two years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
• Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human   relations skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
• Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Big Sandy Community & Technical College strategic plan.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree or higher
• EPA 608 Certification
