Liberty Propane (an EDP Company) provides reliable, excellent propane delivery service for residential homeowners, commercial businesses and agricultural farmers. We serve customers in; New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within your first 90 days, you’ll be completing HVAC installations independently, coordinating smoothly with estimators and fellow technicians, and confidently explaining system operation to customers. You’ll be known for clean, safe job sites, strong technical judgment, and clear communication — both with customers and your team.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Install, service, and maintain gas and oil hydronic systems, including steam
- Install, service, and maintain forced air systems, ductwork, and ductless systems
- Review installation plans with estimators before work begins to avoid surprises on-site
- Lead and support assisting technicians so projects are completed efficiently and safely
- Communicate system details, timelines, and expectations directly with customers
- Educate customers on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Participate in on-call rotation and work overtime when required
- Continue technical training to stay current with HVAC and fuel industry standards
- Cross-train and support the fuel division as business needs require
What You’ll Do in Your First 30 Days
- Complete onboarding, safety training, and ride-alongs to learn EDP installation standards
- Begin hands-on work assisting and leading HVAC installations with experienced teammates
- Learn how estimators, technicians, and dispatch coordinate work from start to finish
- Take ownership of customer communication during installations with support from your lead
Must Have
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurance requirements
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to safely perform physical job requirements and maintain clean, stocked company vehicles
Nice to Have
- Experience with gas and oil hydronic systems, steam, forced air, and ductless installs
- NATE Certification
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians
- Comfort working directly with customers and explaining technical systems in plain language
