This position supports SCE’s world-class Advanced Energy Solution's portfolios, programs, products, and services, including IQP. In this position, you will participate in cross-functional projects across multiple subject areas to support our compliance initiatives. You will assist in developing and monitoring robust compliance plans, guiding and monitoring implementation plans for a variety of new or enhanced processes, and the creation and drafting of annual reports, CPUC advice letters, Applications, and regulatory filings associated with SCE’s AES's portfolio. You will participate in cross-functional projects in coordination with internal organizations such as Customer Programs & Services (CP&S), Strategy & Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Ethics & Compliance, as well as external organizations such as the CPUC, PG&E, SDG&E, SoCal Gas, and other industry partners. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for IQP regulatory compliance matters and will be empowered to make decisions and provide direction on regulatory compliance initiatives and issues that have a significant impact on CP&S and SCE. Responsibilities

  • Formulates positions and draft regulatory filings to support advocacy efforts
  • Collaborates with legal team to ensure all compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Collaborates with various internal and external parties to ensure compliance with the rules set forth by the various regulatory organizations
  • Shares insights from collaborating with Retail business and Government Affairs team to define advocacy strategies and outreach plans
  • Monitors, investigates, and reviews compliance evidence in support of compliance activities
  • Provides regulatory guidance on a variety of key growth initiatives including MandA efforts
  • Identifies and participates in industry associations that may be valuable to the company
  • Monitors and participates in regulatory proceedings and governmental matters, and ensure company compliance with regulations and filings
  • Participates in conducting audit reviews to ensure that the company stays compliant with the policies and standards enforced by relevant agencies
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience with regulatory filings/proceedings and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Public Policy, Engineering, Finance, or other related field
  • Experience using project management principles
  • Experience performing and developing work products directly associated with ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Experience with customer facing programs
  • Project Management certification
  • Certification in a compliance-related field, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, etc.

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
