Job Description
Summary / Objective
Industrialization Support Manager (ISM) is responsible for driving New Product Introduction (NPI), industrial validation, and supplier readiness activities across Safran Aircraft Engines' U.S. supply base. This role serves as a critical interface between the IT Center of Excellence Design Office, U.S. suppliers, and internal cross functional teams to ensure robust product definitions, manufacturable designs, and smooth industrialization of new and modified parts/tooling.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, hands on leader who excels in supplier engagement, problem solving, and cross functional coordination. This role is critical to supporting introduction of new tooling / parts, accelerating design changes, enhancing product quality, and ensuring manufacturing feasibility to meet Safran Aircraft Engines' production demand.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Streamline and facilitate communication between IT CoE design office engineers in France and US suppliers, with emphasis on collaboration, goal setting and accountability. Communication may involve engagement with senior management in Safran and supplier organizations.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with turbine airfoils suppliers as well as Safran Aircraft Engines teams in France and in the US to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Lead industrialization projects from kick-off through validation (part / tooling).
• Lead and support NPI activities at supplier sites, ensuring manufacturability and industrial readiness.
• Oversee the Industrial Validation Process (IVP), including DVI, PPAP, FAI deliverables and prepare/review validation packages with suppliers.
• Guide suppliers in interpreting product definitions, specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring full understanding and compliance.
• Review and confirm program plan accuracy vs. Safran Project requirements (milestones, deliverables, etc.) to ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp-up on new and existing programs to support production demand.
• Implement any Metrics/Indicators that will be deemed necessary to follow Industrialization projects and improve day to day activities.
• Ensure the supply base, including sub-vendors, is capable and prepared to support production rates on new and existing programs; clear identification of development drifts, constraints, quality issues and bottleneck risks must be captured and action plan agreed and executed.
• Support Safran's Purchasing and Quality teams on the technical aspects for preparing all files related to NPI production, including preparation of final validation dossier (DVI) including FAI (First Article Inspection) with Supplier(s)
• Lead or contribute to quality initiatives such as PFMEA, ENQA, audits, and root cause investigations.
• Work collaboratively with the assigned Supplier Quality Engineer and Supplier Performance Manager to ensure efficient support covering all program disciplines.
Education
• Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or Operations Management.
Experience
• 3-8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Design Office, industrialization, or production support.
• Experience with casting, machining and production in an aeronautical business is a plus.
• Experience with NPI, supplier industrialization, or manufacturing engineering.
• Project management experience preferred.

Travel: from 20% to 30% (USA, Mexico, occasional Europe) based on business need.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial validation, and quality tools.
• Proficiency with DOE, PFMEA, 8D, Control Plans, Lean, DMAIC, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
