Job Summary
The Institutional Effectiveness Specialist III works independently to support the Office of Research and Policy Analysis (ORPA) by conducting applied research and producing high-quality research reports and briefs. The position focuses on translating complex data into actionable insights that inform institutional decision-making, policy development, and strategic initiatives across KCTCS. This role emphasizes research design, survey development and administration, and the preparation of clear, well-supported written research products. The position also collaborates closely with ORPA and college staff on systemwide and college-level research projects.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.
Job Duties:
Collaboratively produces data reports and summaries to support continuous improvement in institutional and program effectiveness, policy development, and KCTCS initiatives.
Conducts analyses and develops visualizations of student-, institution-, and system-level data using software
such as Power BI, Stata, R, and Microsoft Excel.
Collaborates cross-functionally to facilitate internal data collection and dissemination through survey
development/administration using survey software.
Collaborates with ORPA, college, and external staff on planning and developing research and training initiatives.
Responds to ad hoc requests for research and data analysis, including working with stakeholders to understand needs and finalizing requests with the creation/maintenance of logic and procedural documentation; other duties as assigned.
Develops and validates student outcome metrics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
