Job Duties:

This position reports to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and is responsible for providing instruction to students in both theory and practice of Welding Technology. Teaches 15 credit hours each semester in Welding. Plans and carries out instruction and prepares learning materials. Prepares lesson plans, and instructional activities, and maintains records and reports on student learning. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and expertise. Provides student advisement, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and promotes public relations. Serves on committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor. May be required to teach evening, weekend, or at other campus locations as the need arises.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree with four years related work experience or bachelor’s degree and two years related work experience or equivalent. All applicants must meet licensure requirements of the occupation. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
