About the Role
Cast & Crew is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join our growing Data Services team. This internship provides hands-on experience with modern data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and cloud-based data platforms that support our enterprise software solutions in the entertainment and production industry.
As a Data Engineering Intern, you’ll help build and maintain scalable data infrastructure, working closely with our data engineers, analysts, and software development teams to turn raw data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools and frameworks
• Work with SQL, Python, and cloud services to prepare and transform data
• Support data modeling and warehousing efforts for analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity, quality, and performance
• Help monitor, test, and debug data processes and pipeline workflows
• Document data processes, tools, and technical decisions
• Learn industry best practices around data governance, lineage, and architecture

What We’re Looking For

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Solid understanding of SQL and database fundamentals
• Exposure to Python or other scripting languages used for data manipulation
• Familiarity with relational databases, data lakes, or data warehouses
• Interest in data pipelines, data modeling, and distributed systems
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Experience with Airflow or similar data workflow tools
• Knowledge of data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Exposure to version control (Git) and Agile development practices
• Understanding of data governance and compliance (e.g. SOC2)

Special Work Conditions

• Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour.
