Summary:
The Operations Data Analyst Intern will support operational teams by helping turn data into meaningful insights that improve performance and decision-making. This role focuses on learning how to work with real operational data, assisting in analysis, and contributing to projects that impact airline operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and basic predictive modeling while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced work environment.

Minimum Requirements:
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Education Details: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Basic experience working with data (coursework, projects, or internships).
• Familiarity with SQL or Python (classroom or personal projects acceptable).
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Requirements:
• Exposure to statistics or data analysis concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Interest in airline operations or logistics.
• Coursework or projects involving data analysis or machine learning.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R.
Job Duties:
• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis.
• Support exploratory analysis to identify trends and insights.
• Help build dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Work with analysts to understand operational problems and data needs.
• Contribute to small-scale projects or components of larger initiatives.
• Assist in validating and troubleshooting data sets.
• Participate in team discussions and present findings when applicable.
• Learn and apply basic analytical and modeling techniques.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
