A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, AI Engineer II
The AI Engineer II is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting AI-driven solutions with a focus on generative AI, agentic systems, and workflow automation. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently on projects, while also collaborating closely with senior engineers and team leaders. The AI Engineer II contributes to building production-ready models, automation pipelines, and MLOps workflows. This position emphasizes hands-on coding, problem-solving, and integration of AI technologies into scalable, real-world systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field. Or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience across computer science/engineering and/or data science.
- 2-4 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related software development roles.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, generative AI, and automation workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with APIs and data pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and distributed computing.
TRAVEL
- As needed < 5%
SCHEDULE
- Typically, Monday through Friday in the office, 8-hour workday, exempt position, working from the Phoenix, AZ office location.
