Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented IT Cloud Services Engineer to join our amazing IT Platform Services team!
The IT Cloud Services Engineer will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233. All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.
To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.
- Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
- Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment
Under supervision, the IT Cloud Services Engineer will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based architectures and services using platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365. Supports senior engineers in deploying cloud infrastructure, configuring services, and ensuring optimal performance. Participates in monitoring cloud environments, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to security measures. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions that align with organizational goals. Performs related duties as required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in Cloud Deployment and Configuration: Support the setup and configuration of cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
- Support Cloud Architecture Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud architectures under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Monitor Cloud Services: Participate in monitoring the performance and availability of cloud services, responding to alerts and performing basic troubleshooting.
- Implement Basic Security Measures: Assist in applying security best practices to protect cloud environments, including managing access controls, and assisting in compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with other IT teams and stakeholders to support cloud-related projects and initiatives.
- Maintain Documentation: Help in creating and updating documentation for cloud configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies and best practices to enhance skills and contribute to team knowledge.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience with cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of networking and security practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of identity management in Extra ID
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 admin portals
- Knowledge of IT Security vulnerability management best practices, especially within cloud environments
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with cloud automation and monitoring tools

- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals: Describe Microsoft 365 apps and services
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals: Describe Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals: Describe Microsoft 365 pricing, licensing, and support
Preferred:
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology is preferred; or an equivalent of four years of work-related experience in lieu of degree
