Position Purpose

To manage IT service delivery for JCB Inc. Working with Global IT teams, local resources and suppliers to ensure JCB Inc has the IT capabilities it requires to support sustainable business growth. The IT Manager - North America is based in San Antonio overseeing operations in North America.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Manage third party service providers ensuring JCB Inc receive good value and service requisite to support a rapidly growing business
  • Ensure JCB Inc business continuity by overseeing and maintaining all critical IT capabilities held onsite in JCB Inc facilities including Infrastructure maintenance, platform security
  • Support UK centralised Group IT with contributing to and writing of coherent and compelling business cases for:
    • capital expenditure including infrastructure refreshes, new technology investment
    • Operational expenditure including recruitment of personnel, expanding professional services, software requirements
  • Manage local IT team in providing support for critical business applications [including SAP and PLM], ensuring alignment with Group IT's governance and strategic direction.
    • SAP Functional and Technical Consultants will be part of a matrix reporting model. They report to Group IT for Functional and Technical responsibilities and to IT Manager NA for administrative requirements.
  • Manage local IT team in delivering End User Compute support for JCB approved operational software and devices
  • Ensure adherence to and adoption of UK Group IT security principles and policies
  • Maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities
  • Maintain strong working relationships within Group IT to leverage the best support for JCB Inc
  • Planning quarterly project activities in line with strategic objectives.
  • Personal and professional development of the JCB Inc. IT team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years in an IT based role, 3 in management
  • Experience/exposure to Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Experience providing IT services in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Must have experience managing LAN, WAN, enterprise storage, servers, Windows platforms, virtualization
  • Must have an understanding of IT Service Management principles, preferably ITIL
  • Must be pro-active and demonstrate JCB’s principles: Sense of urgency, humility, can-do attitude, pride.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to process and interpret complex technical information, the ability to manage multiple priorities and manage own workload to meet project deadlines, the ability to manage a team of IT professionals setting objectives and developing their skills
